Woven with intention and attuned to the natural world, SKALL crafts collections with carefully sourced fibres and materials.

Material archive

Our wool outerwear and much of our tailoring is crafted from 100% recycled wool from Italian textile supplier Manteco.

Driven by purpose, we aim to solely work with vegetal fibres such as cotton, linen, and wool, and prioritise using mono-fibres where possible. Working in this way means that not only are these fibres more comfortable to wear due to their breathability, but supporting unblended fibres helps to simplify the recycling process. Sourcing these lower impact materials also helps to drive forward our goal of creating long-lasting garments, both in terms of design and materiality.

Denim in Turkey

Our denim is made from 100% organic and GOTS certified (CU213492) cotton. Made in Turkey using Jeanologia laundry technology, it’s possible to map the specific use of water, CO2, and chemicals used.

The sheep at Hjelholt Spinning Mill are carefully sheared twice a year.

1.8

India

Most cotton and linen styles are made in a Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS)-certified factory in Delhi.

1.9

India

We use linen both for its strength, breathability, and its cooling effect during the warmer months. Derived from the flax plant, linen is generally considered a lower-impact fibre as it requires less water and chemical intervention than many other fibres.

2.0

Manteco

The colours of MWool® are obtained without any additional dyes or chemicals, combining different tones of recycled wool fibres to create new colours.

2.1

Corozo buttons

We use Corozo buttons on our outerwear and tailored garments, derived from the seed of palm trees that predominantly grow in South America.

2.2

Yarn at Hjetholt

The carded fibres go through a spinning machine to twist them into finished yarn.

2.3
